There’s just so much that I love about this beautiful wedding…*sigh*…where do I even begin? Let’s start with the most memorable for me personally and before I go on I have to make a small announcement – Hi, my name is Nattnee and I am a romantic. Deal with it please =) So, most memorable moment, that would be just after Marie finished her walk down the aisle and was standing next to Chris. She was probably still nervous, she was adjusting her veil, taking a breath and at the time wasn’t look at Chris. In all of those seconds, he just couldn’t take his eyes off her. The look on his face was gentle, subtle and full of love and longing. It was the way every girl would want a guy she’s marrying to look at her. As a photographer, I can be any place to get the best vantage point and I distinctly remember thinking to myself “is anyone else seeing this right now??”.
I love that the wedding was intimate and so personalised. Marie and Chris wrote their own vows and the words really showed that they have such a special bond, they truly love one another and they’re best friends. Chris’ speech was also very touching, heartfelt and frankly quite an impressive groom speech. It was such a joy to be a part of a truly special wedding like this.
The other thing I really love was the fact that Marie and Chris recognised that the only rules for planning a wedding was their own. They broke tradition and had an uneven bridal party with a…wait for it…a bridesman! ‘Cos what’s a girl to do when one of her besties is a man? How unique, I love it!
Then there were other really awesome stuff for photography like the beautiful flowers, styling and decor, and the cake! Hellooooo so many pretty details, I love you! The ceremony venue, Newmarket, was really different and unique which was super exciting for me. (If only we had some ponies to shoot with, that would totally top it off =p) I love that we had gorgeous winter light for the portrait session and everyone had a great time. The revamped QVB with its new chandeliers made a stunning and elegant venue for a reception. Ahhhh *sigh* it was a good day =)
